Ethical Complaint & Retraction Policy

Ethical Complaint & Retraction Policy

The International Journal for Innovation Education and Research (IJIER) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. This policy outlines how complaints, corrections, and retractions are handled to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability.

Reporting Ethical Concerns

Authors, reviewers, readers, or editorial board members may report ethical concerns or suspected misconduct, including plagiarism, data falsification, authorship disputes, or conflicts of interest, via email to ijier@scholarsjournal.net.

Investigation Process

The editorial office investigates reported issues promptly. Complaints are reviewed confidentially, and the involved parties may be contacted for clarification. Investigations follow journal policies and are consistent with best practices in academic publishing.

Decision and Actions

Based on investigation results, the editorial office may take the following actions:

  • Issue a correction, clarification, or editorial note.
  • Retract the article if serious ethical violations are confirmed.
  • Notify authors, reviewers, and, where appropriate, institutional authorities.
  • Update online publication records to ensure transparency.

Confidentiality & Fairness

All complaints and investigations are treated confidentially. Decisions are made fairly, based solely on evidence and ethical guidelines, without bias toward any author, reviewer, or institution.

Corrections & Retractions

- Corrections: Minor errors affecting interpretation, data, or formatting will be corrected with an editorial note. - Retractions: Articles with severe ethical breaches, fraudulent data, or plagiarism may be formally retracted. Retraction notices will remain linked to the original article to maintain the scholarly record.

Compliance & Transparency

This policy aligns with international publishing ethics standards. IJIER maintains transparency in ethical investigations while ensuring due process and protection for all parties involved.
